Mike Ewing leads NewsNation’s video and social media teams, developing original content and bringing NewsNation’s reporting to a wide range of digital platforms.
Before coming to NewsNation, he built data dashboards and reported daily on the COVID-19 pandemic at WGN-TV, where he also covered breaking news, developed podcasts, and produced original video series including the Emmy-nominated “Ask WGN” and the mini-documentary series “Faces of Chicago.” He’s worked on stories ranging from local politics to global conflicts to why Lake Michigan looks bluer than it used to.
Mike lives in Chicago, where he’s working to master the art of smoking meat on a Weber grill.
