Kelsey Kernstine is a Chicago-based correspondent for NewsNation.
Prior to her arrival at NewsNation, Kernstine spent nearly two years in Oklahoma City as a traffic anchor, reporter, and fill-in anchor for KWTV.
She also spent two years in Columbia, Missouri at KMIZ as an anchor and reporter covering tornadoes, flooding and Governor Eric Greitens’ resignation.
Kernstine attended UCLA, graduated with Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude with a major in Communications and Minor in Film and Television.
When Kernstine is not working, she loves to eat, bake, spend time with friends and family and raise money for Acute Leukemia Research.
Kernstine is a lefty, with a twin brother, and she also competed in the Junior Olympics in Pairs Figure Skating.
