(NewsNation) — Brian Kemp has won the Republican Primary for Governor in Georgia.
He will face off against Democrat Stacey Abrams in the general election, who was unopposed in this primary.
Herschel Walker has also won his primary for Georgia’s Senate seat on the Republican side, and Raphael Warnock has won his on the Democratic side.
Lucy McBath has won the Democratic Primary for District 7’s House seat.
Georgia had several key items on the ballot for its 2022 primary elections Tuesday.
Democrats and Republicans decided on which candidates to send to the general election for governor, as well as Senate and House seats, among other important races.
The polls opened at 7 a.m. EST and close at 7 p.m. EST.
