George Will has been a senior political contributor at NewsNation since January 2022.
He currently serves as a syndicated columnist for The Washington Post where he writes a twice-weekly column on politics, and domestic and foreign affairs. A recipient of the Pulitzer Prize for commentary in 1977, the column has been running for nearly half a century. Until 2011, he was also a regular contributing editor for Newsweek magazine, where he provided a bimonthly essay.
Additionally, nine collections of his work in Newsweek and Washington Post have been published, including in his latest book entitled, “American Happiness and Discontents: The Unruly Torrent, 2008-2020.
Most recently, Will served as a political contributor on NBC and MSNBC. Previously, he appeared as a contributor for FOX News where he appeared regularly on news programs Special Report and FOX News Sunday. Prior to that, he was a founding panel member on ABC’s Sunday public affairs program This Week where he spent over three decades providing regular commentary.
Will is the author of the New York Times best-seller The Conservative Sensibility, which focused on America’s origins and development.
He is a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, Oxford University and Princeton University, where he earned his Ph.D. and later served as a trustee. Will has taught political philosophy at Michigan State University, the University of Toronto, Harvard University, and Princeton and served as a staff member in the United States Senate from 1970 to 1972.
