Editor’s note: The latest update on Riley Strain.

(NewsNation) — The search for missing college student Riley Strain has still not produced any evidence of a “criminal element” to his disappearance, Nashville police said in a statement Thursday.

Strain, a student at Mizzou, was last seen on March 8 as he was kicked out of a Nashville bar.

The search has been relentless as the case gathers the attention of national news media and online sleuths. This week, the United Cajun Navy joined the effort.

So far, we’ve learned his final texts to his family were strange, his bank card has turned up, and he was found on police bodycam having a brief exchange with an officer after he was kicked out of the bar.

A homeless person also may have been wearing Strain’s shirt with a vomit stain on it, according to witnesses, but Strain’s parents told NewsNation’s Ashleigh Banfield they weren’t sure that tracked, because that person was caught on camera with the shirt, but it didn’t appear to have a vomit stain.

Strain is 6 feet, 5 inches tall, with a slender build, blond hair and blue eyes, according to his family. Strain was last seen wearing a black and white collared shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes.

If you see Strain or have any information about where he may be, you are asked to call the MNPD at 615-862-8600.
