Anna Kooiman serves as anchor of the weekend edition of NewsNation Live on Saturdays from 10 a.m. -1 p.m. ET and Sundays from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. ET. She joined the network in April 2024.
Prior to joining NewsNation, Ms. Kooiman served as host of Your Day with Anna Kooiman for Bahakel Communications in Charlotte, North Carolina. Previously, she lived in Sydney, Australia where she was a guest anchor and panelist on Australia’s Network Ten news programs Studio 10 and The Project.
From 2011 to 2016, Ms. Kooiman worked at FOX News where she served in various roles as a New York correspondent and anchor of the morning show franchise FOX & Friends Weekend. Prior to FOX, she hosted a four-hour news and entertainment program, FOX Rising on WCCB-TV.
Ms. Kooiman started her broadcast career as a sideline reporter for FOX Sports and landed her first job in television at WWAY-TV in Wilmington, North Carolina.
During her tenure as a broadcast journalist, she has covered presidential elections, severe weather, including Super Storm Sandy and the wildfires in Australia, and the 2015 terrorist attack in San Bernardino, California. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina/Wilmington.
