Bobby Oler is a senior digital producer and shift lead for NewsNation’s morning team.
Before joining the team in 2021, Oler spent nearly a decade as a reporter and anchor in local television news. He started his career in Butte, Montana in 2011 covering sports in the mountains. He did sports and news in Springfield, Missouri before most recently serving as one of the main news co-anchors in Peoria, Illinois.
When he’s not directing coverage at NewsNation, he’s probably walking his dog, Ovi, catching up on exercise at the gym, or wondering how his favorite sports teams (all from Washington, D.C.) managed to lose their most recent game.
He graduated from American University’s School of Communication in 2011 and grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He lives in Chicago with his wife, Molly.
