Caitlyn Shelton is the newsletters and news across America digital producer at NewsNation, where she writes the Your Morning newsletter, assists with local newsgathering and specializes in audience engagement. She joined NewsNation in 2022 as a digital content producer, where she helped expand NewsNation’s viewership on digital platforms by featuring elements from “Dan Abrams Live” and “On Balance with Leland Vittert” on NewsNation’s website.
Prior to that, she worked as a digital producer for WZTV in Nashville, Tennessee. During her time in Music City, Shelton enjoyed producing original stories in her home state, developing digital content strategies and interviewing country music stars like Dolly Parton at red carpet events.
She also worked as the executive producer of digital content for WVLT in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she managed the station’s digital platforms and covered the 2016 wildfires in the Great Smoky Mountains. While in Knoxville, she also worked as an assignment editor overseeing strategic content plans and field producing extensive event coverage like the celebration of life for legendary coach Pat Summitt.
When she’s not at work, Shelton’s likely cheering on the Tennessee Vols, looking for the best barbecue joints or spending time on her family’s farm.
