(NewsNation) — Dancer Aubrey Fisher, “7M Films” CEO Robert Shinn’s former client, is sharing his story after escaping an alleged TikTok dancing cult.

Shinn, the founding pastor of Los Angeles-based Shekinah Church, wanted to “make it seem like we’re not in a cult, basically,” Fisher said Thursday on “Banfield.” “You have to show (on social media) that everything seems normal. But it’s really not.”

The Netflix docuseries “Dancing with the Devil” highlights the talent management company and alleged cult that came under fire after Shinn was accused of abusing members.

Shinn’s church is alleged to have urged members to cut ties with family and manipulate them financially and, in some cases, sexually, E! News reports.

Fisher and NewsNation host Ashleigh Banfield discussed the whereabouts of church member Miranda Derrick who has been posting content on social media featuring her and her family. Fisher says that Derrick is “still being controlled” by Shinn.

“7M Films” responded to the allegations, calling the Netflix docuseries “Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult” a “slanderous work of fiction” and threatening legal action.
