(NewsNation) — While serving a life sentence in Arizona, Jodi Arias is selling her artwork online with the help of her family.
Arias was convicted of the 2008 death of her then-boyfriend Travis Alexander and given a life sentence in 2013.
She works with her family to maintain a website and an Instagram account where she can post and sell her artwork, according to the website.
An original piece entitled “Beyond the Horizon” is listed for $2,500. Prints of her other pieces are available for prices ranging from $28 to $39.
The website says the revenue from the arts goes largely towards supplies and fees for the business. Ten percent of the revenue is donated to nonprofit organizations and “some” goes towards Arias’ appeals.
Arias is currently serving a life sentence for first-degree murder with no eligibility for parole for killing her boyfriend at his home in Mesa, Arizona.
Prosecutors argued Arias had attacked Alexander in a jealous rage, leaving him with 27 stab wounds, a slit throat and a gunshot wound to the head.
During the trial, Arias admitted that she killed Alexander, but claimed it was self-defense.
