IRVING, Texas (NewsNation) — The suspect accused of killing two at an Irving fast-food restaurant on Wednesday has been taken into police custody, ending an overnight manhunt, according to the Irving Police Department.

Oved Bernardo Mendoza Argueta, 37, was arrested early Thursday in connection to the shooting, which police say was targeted. He was booked at the Irving City Jail, where he will wait for his arraignment.

Police would not confirm the exact location where the shooting took place; however, television footage from Wednesday showed screens being placed in front of some windows at a Chick-fil-A restaurant. Plus, several police cars surrounded the restaurants and the parking lot was blocked off.

Police said they were still trying to determine exactly what led to the shooting, conducting interviews with potential witnesses.

The victims have yet to be identified and an investigation into the double murder continues.
