MIAMI (NewsNation) — American rapper Travis Scott was arrested in Miami early Thursday morning on charges of trespassing and disorderly intoxication, according to Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation jail records.

The 33-year-old, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, was arrested and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami-Dade County, Florida, around 4:35 a.m. ET.

According to a police report obtained by NewsNation, police responded to a disturbance call that people were fighting on a yacht in Miami Beach Marina. When they arrived, the officers observed Scott yelling at people on the vessel.

Officers asked Scott to sit down while they investigated the situation but had to repeatedly ask him to sit down after he kept standing up, according to the police report. It was also reported that officers could smell alcohol on Scott’s breath.

The yacht’s occupant, not named in the report, told police they didn’t want to press charges but that they just wanted Scott to leave.

Sgt. Jorge Lemus escorted Scott off the boardwalk. During that walk, Lemus said Scott was walking backward and yelling at the person on the yacht.

Scott left the premises but returned five minutes later, police said.

That’s when he ignored officers’ commands to not approach the yacht, heading toward the boat, according to the report. Scott argued with Lemus, raised his voice toward the officer and became “erratic.”

Police took Scott into custody and transported the rapper to the Miami Beach Police Department, the report said.

At the police station, according to the report, Scott admitted he’d been drinking and told officers, “It’s Miami.”

He was then transferred to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center where he was booked.

Scott faces two charges: trespass property after warning and disorderly intoxication. He submitted a $650 bond Thursday morning, but it is unknown whether he has yet been released from jail.
