(NewsNation) — Rapper Pitbull has teamed up with Dolly Parton for a hip-hop-meets-country collaboration that has social media users taking notice.

According to the East Coast radio website, Pitbull released his EP, “Trackhouse (Daytona 500 Edition)” last week. The seven-song EP features several guest artists, including Parton, who features on the song, “Powerful Women,” which samples her mega-hit, “9 to 5.” The song was originally released in 1980 and went on to win a Grammy for “Best Country Song.”

Pitbull, who has been accused of performing misogynist lyrics in the past, said his collab with Parton is dedicated to all the powerful women in the world.

On Jan. 15, 2021, it was announced that Pitbull became a co-owner of the NASCAR Cup Series team Trackhouse Racing.

The rapper also teams up with country star Tim McGraw on the EP.
