SALT LAKE CITY (NewsNation Now) — Vice President Mike Pence has tested negative again for coronavirus, the day before the scheduled vice presidential debate in Salt Lake City.
“Vice President Mike Pence is encouraged to go about his normal activities and does not need to quarantine,” White House physician Dr. Jesse T. Schonau said in a memo.
Stephen Miller, President Donald Trump’s senior adviser and speechwriter, tested positive for the coronavirus Tuesday.
His wife, Katie Miller, who serves as communications director to Pence, previously had the virus and tested negative after the last time she saw him. Katie Miller had been in Salt Lake City with Pence, where he is preparing to debate Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris, but she left as soon as she found out about her husband’s diagnosis.
This is a developing story.
