HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Kentucky State Police say the maternal grandparents of a missing eight-month-old in Ohio County were arrested on warrants on Wednesday.

Officials say the grandparents of Miya Rudd, Taletha and David Tucker, were arrested on Leitchfield Road while authorities were investigating the disappearance of Rudd, who was reported missing following a welfare check last week. Authorities say the two grandparents were arrested on warrants unrelated to the disappearance of the infant.

KSP said no leads were developed following the arrest. Police also say three of Tesla Tucker’s children were also in the home at the time of the arrest.

The parents of Miya Rudd, Tesla Tucker and Cage Rudd were arrested at an Owensboro motel last week, but their eight-month-old was not with them at the time of the arrest. Officials say the two have not been cooperating with the search. They were charged, along with a Miya’s grandfather, Ricky Smith, with multiple charges including child abandonment and abuse.

This is a developing story.
