CLEVELAND (NewsNation Now) — President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden both defended their records during the first Presidential debate for the 2020 general election.

Trump, who is campaigning to earn a second term in the White House, and former Vice President Joe Biden both took questions about why their experience and records should earn them votes in the election.

Watch the full interaction in the player above.

The two candidates went head-to-head in Tuesday’s debate in Cleveland moderated by Fox News’ Chris Wallace.

The presidential election is a little more than a month away, but many states have already begun voting.
