(NewsNation) — Trucker Chicago Ray has deleted a video calling on truckers to boycott New York City after a judge ruled former President Donald Trump could not do business there for three years as part of a fraud case.
Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, Ray said he deleted his first video after it went viral and caused hard feelings between himself and his grandson.
Ray claimed he hadn’t been calling for a boycott himself, merely reporting what he heard other truckers were saying and advising New Yorkers to be prepared for shortages.
In a second video, Ray discussed speaking with other MAGA truckers who were denying loads going to New York City over the ruling.
Ray note if the boycott lasts longer than a week, New Yorkers should begin stocking up now. He said he wasn’t calling for anyone to do anything and was only passing along what he heard.
In the video, Ray said truckers weren’t out to hurt people, but they were standing with Trump. He claimed millions of truckers were ready to support the former president.
In the ruling, Justice Arthur Engoran fined Trump $355 million and barred him from holding director or officer positions in any New York businesses for three years after ruling that Trump falsely inflated his worth over the years to get better loans.
Trump has called the case, along with multiple other court cases against him, election interference.
