Joe Biden ‘enabled’ Hunter Biden’s business dealings: Ex-associate

(NewsNation) — A onetime business associate — and now critic — of Hunter Biden, Tony Bobulinski, testified behind closed doors before the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday.

Bobulinski gave bombshell testimony, saying the Biden family business was President Joe Biden. He claimed the president was an “enabler” in his son’s business dealings while making millions of dollars and allowing foreign associates access to the then-former vice president.

“Tony Bobulinski articulated under oath that Joe Biden was ‘the brand’ the Bidens sold to enrich the family. Joe Biden not only knew about his family’s dealings with a Chinese Communist Party-linked energy company, but he also enabled them and participated in them,” House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., said.

During the testimony, Bobulinski referenced emails that included “the big guy” as well as a time that Joe Biden popped into a business meeting with Chinese investors in 2017.

In his opening statements, he said it was clear the name was being used intentionally.

“Joe Biden was aware of the CEFC transaction, enabled it and had a constitutional responsibility and obligation to the American people to shut it down before it began,” Bobulinski said.

Bobulinski, a U.S. Navy veteran, worked with Hunter Biden and James Biden back in 2017 to create an investment corporation called Sinohawk Holdings. The company was to be created to entice a potential Chinese investor: CEFC China Energy.

Reaction to Bobulinski’s testimony was blunt and split down party lines.

“It’s shocking to me that even though Tony has told the truth, proven that Joe Biden and his son Hunter indeed met with Tony as they were doing business in China,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., said.

The White House maintains that the president had no influence over his son’s businesses and has never profited from them.

“He’s basically a jilted would-be business partner of Hunter Biden’s who wanted to exact his revenge, essentially, because he was angry that he was cut out of a hypothetical deal,” said Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee.

NewsNation reached out to Hunter Biden’s attorney for comment but has yet to hear back. The White House has refused to comment.
