Opioid crisis takes economic toll on communities

(NewsNation) —  No neighborhood seems immune to the nationwide opioid crisis.

There’s an economic toll as well as the humanitarian toll. Leaders in Arizona now say the epidemic cost their state more than $50 billion last year. They say that number factors in overdose deaths, reduced productivity and border security expenses.
