FAA: SpaceX seeks 25 Starship launches per year

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The FAA will hold public meetings discussing SpaceX’s proposal to increase the number of Starship launches from Boca Chica to 25.
According to the FAA, SpaceX’s proposal includes 25 annual Starship orbital launches, 25 landings of Starship and 25 landings of Super Heavy from the Boca Chica launch site.
The FAA will hold public meetings for input on the environmental assessment to the proposal, which will be done in coordination with other federal agencies and feedback from the public.

Four meetings will be held in-person, on the following dates:
- Tuesday, Aug. 13; 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (City of South Padre Island Convention Center)
- Thursday, Aug. 15; 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. (Port Isabel Event & Cultural center)
There will also be a virtual public meeting held on Tuesday, Aug. 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Registration will be required to attend.
On July 9, SpaceX shared images of the Super Heavy booster that was moved to the pad at Starbase ahead of the fifth test flight.
