NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two seventh-grade students were apprehended by THP Tuesday after they allegedly stole a teacher’s SUV.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), the students were apprehended by THP troopers off Interstate 40 exit 152 at Bucksnort.

The 12-year-olds reportedly saw that the teacher left the key to her 2024 Honda CRV on her desk and took it.

Officials said the students were then seen leaving the Two Rivers Middle School parking lot at 2:50 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11. Parents of one of the students tracked their son’s iPad until THP found them just off exit 152.

THP took the students into custody. Police said they will face charges in Davidson County Juvenile Court.

No other information was released.
