(NewsNation) — Around 567,000 portable chargers sold exclusively at Costco have been recalled after the devices started fires, causing approximately $165,000 worth of property damage.

Faulty electronics include myCharge POWER HUB All-In-One 10,000mAh portable chargers with model numbers AO10FK-A, AO10FK-B, and AO10FK-C, according to a recall notice shared by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Prior to the recall, five incidents with the chargers, including two house fires, were reported directly to myCharge.

The recall filing also says at least 115 of the China-made products were returned to Costco for “melting, expanding, smoking, fire, burning, exploding, or sparking”. No injuries requiring medical attention have been reported yet.

If you have the product and need to dispose of it, make sure to visit a municipal recycling center to properly get rid of potentially dangerous lithium batteries.
