Travis Kelce gushes about his ‘biggest fan’ and it’s not Taylor Swift

LAS VEGAS (KRON) — Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce said his “biggest fan” will be at the Super Bowl when the Chiefs face off with the San Francisco 49ers. But he wasn’t talking about his girlfriend, pop superstar Taylor Swift.
Instead, he was referring to his older brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.
Both brothers made it to the 2023 Super Bowl, when the Chiefs defeated the Eagles to win the NFL title. While Jason Kelce will not be competing on the world’s biggest stage for Super Bowl LVIII, he is ready to root for his “little” brother in Las Vegas.
On Tuesday reporters asked Travis Kelce what it meant to have his brother with him as he prepares to battle the 49ers.
Travis Kelce answered, “We have been each others biggest fans since we were kids. I remember banging on the glass when he was in middle school hockey, getting excited for a goal. It’s an honor to go out there and represent my family. Me and my brother … we understand that family is always first.”
The 34-year-old tight end added, “Just having his support is all I need.”
Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes was asked by reporters about what he thought of Swift’s celebrity appearances at games throughout the season. “I think it’s extremely cool for her to be at the games. Obviously she’s just here to support Travis in the best way possible. (Swift) has done a great job of bringing more people to football and how great this sport is.”
Mahomes continued, “I’m a father to a daughter as well. So I know a lot of fans out there get to have those moments with their kids as well.”
Swift is also having a big week. On Sunday night she made Grammys history in Los Angeles by winning “Album of the Year” for the fourth time. Swift also has four concerts in Tokyo before the Super Bowl.
She is anticipated to hustle back to the U.S. to play the role of fan-in-chief to her boyfriend in Las Vegas, and will likely be seen in a suite with Kelce’s family and friends during the game by an audience even bigger than the Grammys.
Travis Kelce told reporters at Allegiant Stadium that Swift is “rewriting the history books herself” and she’s “definitely brought a lot of new faces to the game.”
