Immunity decision: The Supreme Court is set to rule Monday whether former President Donald Trump has immunity from criminal prosecution. Trump wants the court to dismiss the charges filed in Washington, D.C., that he repeatedly spread false claims about the 2020 presidential election, tried to discount legitimate votes and helped plan the Jan. 6, 2021, attempt to stop the vote certification by Congress. The Supreme Court typically concludes its summer decision-making by the end of June but is heading into overtime to weigh in on Trump’s case. Chief Justice John Roberts said Friday “all remaining” Supreme Court opinions will come down Monday. The latest >
Jan. 6 case: The immunity decision comes on the heels of justices deciding another Jan. 6-related case Friday that narrowed the use of obstruction of an official proceeding charge against many people who stormed the Capitol. Details >

Campaign performance: There is also a lot of anger by the Biden family directed at the campaign staff who were deeply involved in the debate preparation, the source confirmed. “They did him a disservice,” is how the source summarized the family’s feelings. Responding to that report, Biden campaign spokesperson Kevin Munoz told NewsNation: “The aides who prepped the President have been with him for years, often decades, seeing him through victories and challenges. He maintains strong confidence in them.” There are ongoing discussions about Biden doing some type of press event this week to answer the criticism of his presidential debate performance, the source said. A senior Biden adviser denies the family is upset. Read more >

Barbados, St. Lucia, Grenada, Tobago and St. Vincent and the Grenadines were under hurricane warnings. The latest >

Spirit deal: Boeing announced it has agreed to acquire supplier Spirit AreoSystems, a move Boeing says will improve plane safety and quality. Boeing previously owned Spirit, and the purchase would reverse a longtime Boeing strategy of outsourcing key work on its passenger planes. “We believe this deal is in the best interest of the flying public,” Boeing President and CEO Dave Calhoun said, in part. Read more about the deal >
Boeing woes: The deal comes as the Justice Department plans to propose that Boeing plead guilty to fraud in connection with two deadly plane crashes involving its 737 Max jetliners. Boeing will have until the end of the week to accept or reject the offer. The latest >

Pat Tillman Award: The mother of U.S. soldier and former NFL star Pat Tillman said she was “shocked” to hear Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, would be the recipient of an annual award made in the name of her son, who was killed by friendly fire in Iraq in 2004. Mary Tillman told the Daily Mail she was not consulted on the choice of Harry as the next recipient of the award that is given by ESPN each year to a “person with a strong connection to sports who has served others in a way that echoes the legacy of the former NFL player.” Harry is set to receive the award at next month’s ESPY Awards ceremony for his help in founding the Invictus Games, an international sports competition for wounded veterans and active-duty military personnel. What’s happening: Many Baby Boomers are turning to home-sharing amid high inflation and rising housing costs, marking a rise in what people are calling “boommates.” Some retired homeowners are renting out their extra rooms to younger people seeking affordable housing. Historically, Americans would buy larger houses while they were raising children and then sell off the big, empty house when the children grew up and moved out. Now, Baby Boomers hitting retirement age are increasingly choosing to remain in their houses as there is little incentive to sell. Read more >
